A copyright and fair use are two different but related things. A copyright protects the creator of an idea from having their work stolen and used without accrediting the creator. Fair use is the set of guidelines that dictate how the education community can use copyrighted works for educational purposes. Examples mainly include accrediting the creator or author.

Technology implementation issues are issues that arise when using technology to facilitate education. Academic dishonesty is the biggest threat to a student’s education because the inclusion of technology into the classroom makes it significantly easier to access restricted materials that could be used to cheat. Another issue is lack of funding. Including technology in the classroom is extremely difficult because of the large scale the technologies would have to be purchased in in order to accommodate the number of students in such school. Another issue with funding is that technology is advancing so rapidly that the technologies in the classroom would have to be updated every couple of years in order for the education to remain relevant.

While working on the newsletter design assignment I learned some about the graphical tools offered in MS Word. It has been a while since I’ve used MS Word in that fashion. In the future if I were to do this again, I would try to choose smaller graphics because I found it difficult to fit the amount of text that I wanted. I can use these skills in the future to create any sort of informative pamphlet for any event or organization. It is definitely a good resource to have.
