MIT has available a course to enroll in for free "The Fundamentals of Manufacturing". This lesson is designed to teach students many different types of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, and 3D printing. This course explains the physics behind many principles through demonstrations. In the end, students will have a better understanding of the ins and outs of manufacturing. Autodesk offers a coures online for free "Introduction to CAD, CAM, and Practical CNC Machining". This course enables participants to develop basic foundations for computer automated design. Students will practice drawing 3D parts on the computer as well as learning how to set up the CAM program. This course provides manufacturing specialization for CAD users.
